Thank you Aunt Valerie

Thank you for my new toy to play with in the car. I have already figured out how to hit it to make it play the music. Mom has been reading me the Rainbow fish book and I love it. I try to pick the shiny scales off the page and when I can't do that I try to eat the fish. It's a good thing the book is waterproof because I sure drool a lot.

Daddy's girl

I love my daddy soooo much!
Do you see the red sock on my hand? Let me tell you a funny story. I cut my finger and it was bleeding everywhere. It didn't hurt at all so I wanted to keep playing. It was funny to watch mommy run around the house trying to figure out how to get a bandaid to stay on my finger. The first one didn't stay on at all so she put a bandaid on and then taped it to my tiny finger. My finger was huge with all that tape on it. It felt funny so I thought that I could make it feel better by putting it in my mouth. But mommy wouldn't let me so I got MAD. Then I got a sock to suck on. I guess this was my first ouchie. Thank goodness that daddy came home to make it all better.

Watch me grow

Playful and talkative Clara. She's tons of fun to watch.

So Big, So Tall

Clara's getting cuter every day, and we're getting to see more and more of her personality. She loves to stand up and survey her "Claratory" just to make sure that her parents are still watching her. Although she looks around for us, she often forgets that we are holding her and gets startled when we talk to her.

Clara loves playing the piano on Jim's knee. She looks up at the music and follows his fingers as he's playing. She's finally strong enough to push the keys down. She gets so excited when she makes music that she giggles and squeals. She learned how to make high pitch squeals last week at church when the choir was singing the high notes... of course when everyone was quietly praying.

Night night sleepy head. Beary gets wrestled with and then becomes Clara's pillow.

Piano time

Clara has been busy this past week. She really enjoys music whether it's listening to mom sing nursery rhymes, watching "Mr. Shine" perform at the mall, or trying to help dad play the guitar or piano. Clara is already marching to her own beat and starting to play her own tune.
