Hiking up to Mitchell Lake

Mountain Day!!! That means a happier mom, happier baby, and happier dad. It was raining when we got to Brainard lake so Jim and I had a car picnic.

Then the rain let up so mom wrapped up my head so we could hike up a mile to Mitchell lake.

Once we got to the lake mom let me stand for awhile and dad got a chance to kiss my forehead.

Tonight was my first night in my highchair. There were towels on both sides of me because I just don't quite fit in it yet.

Clara 's typing

Clara is sitting tall on my lap while I am typing... and wanting to type you a message...

"The keyboard sure makes fun sounds when I type".

Clara enjoyed celebrating Tish's birthday last Saturday, getting to meet Aunt Pat, and seeing daddy all week. Jim surprised me with flowers and surf-n-turf meal Monday night. We got to have a 5 hour meal with Clara's bath and bedtime between courses. Jim's been busy on his week off between cleaning the garage and giving me a Clara break.

Miss Munchie thinks she's hungry again even though she just spit up so we may try bath time instead.

Sarah & Chris Bielinski wedding

Tonight we went to a great wedding at Boecher
Mansion up at the top of Lookout Mountain. Clara got to where her party dress that was a gift from Mark and Paula. She's developing quite the playful personality and loves to eat her toes!

Clara was great during the chilly outdoor ceremony. She talked and played with everyone around
her and only got overwhelmed by the music a few times. She even fell asleep with blaring music when she was wrapped up in the sling while we ate dinner. She only slept for about 15 minutes, but it was too cute to see her be a noodle.

Such a big girl

Tonight Clara decided to help
hold her own bottle.
Too cute!
Today was a pretty quite day with playing, rolling, and mom writing thank you's.

Clara loves playing with her toes, eating rice cereal, and rolling over. She is just starting to "swim" which I guess means that crawling will be coming soon so we'll have to start child proofing the house. Yipes, mobile child! I like being able to take her in the car seat or sling whenever we want to go so that will be a change.

Clara's now 4 months old

t's hard to believe that Clara's already 4 months old. We just had her doctor visit where we found out that she weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces which puts her at 25% for weight. She's already 24 inches long.

Clara had her 4 month shots on April 15th. She got really
sleepy an hour after the doctor appointment. Jim took this picture when I was at work on the 16th, fever day. The fever only got up to 100.2, but Clara got a few doses of Tylenol and a few baths to cool her down

Clara's already developed quite the personality. She's got a pout that will melt your heart, screams when she's not done playing yet, and belly laughs at funny faces. She's still our "Content Clara", except during the "I'm hungry" evening hours. We hope that evenings will be a little easier now that she will take formula.

Well since this is my first blog I guess I also wanted to share the major events of 2007....
+ Clara was born April 14th, 2007 at 4:15 in the afternoon. She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces.
+ Jim and I both turned the big 30 this year. I arranged for Jim's college friend Kurt to fly in for his birthday and then threw him a surprise Indian BBQ party with about 45 people on the big day.
+My sister Val came out to visit for a week in June so she's had a little time to play with Clara, but I know that she would love to be closer.

Well hopefully this works because I'd like to keep all of you updated with our new little family more often.
Toodles, Tricia
